Over the last 18 years, in which I have worked in the world of education, I have become more and more fascinated with how people learn. This curiosity about how learning occurs, has led me to become especially interested in working with children who are learning differently or having challenges learning.
I have worked in both public and private schools, teaching in both special education and regular education settings, as well as home school and preschool environments. Most recently, I have worked as a private learning specialist and educational consultant, in which my work has focused on social- emotional learning, academic support and enrichment, and consultation services for curriculum development and special education advocacy.
I've come to focus on social-emotional skills and academic support and enrichment as a result of professional experience and personal connection.
I specialize in individualized and group learning for children affected by ADHD, Autism/Aspergers, Anxiety, Behavioral Challenges, Expressive Language Challenges, and giftedness, and have experience with children who are both gifted and learn differently (2E- Twice Exceptional).
